Oh gaming industry, what a wonderful and interesting paradox you are. Up is down, left is right, cats are living with dogs, and everything you know is wrong. For example, what should a designer do when working on a “super confidential project?” If you answered “tweet a picture of the meeting” then congratulations! You might be cut out for work in the video game industry.
This is exactly what Hideo Kojima did on his twitter feed. He subtitled the picture, which was a snapshot of a bunch of guys around a meeting table, “Kojima Production SUPER CONFIDENTIAL PROJECT’s experiment presentation & meeting.” Everyone sure seemed happy to get photographed in what is essentially a blatant leak of information. Way to go Kojima!
It’s unclear what this project is, what with it being super confidential and all. It’s certainly not anything in the Metal Gear universe, or at least it isn’t anything related to Ground Zeroes or the Phantom Pain . Fans have begun hoping for a big revival of the Zone of the Enders series, but last we heard that project team was disbanded. Maybe Kojima is working on a brand new IP? If so, we can only hope that David Hayter will be in it.
