Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals Cheats & Cheat Codes for MS-DOS, Amiga, and Atari ST

Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals is a 1989 adventure game developed and published by Sierra On-Line. The third entry in the Leisure Suit Larry series was released on MS-DOS, Amiga, and Atari ST. Nowadays, you can play the game on modern PCs by purchasing it on Steam.

The game was met with high praise and strong sales, much like its predecessors. Its ambition meant that there were more bugs than ever, although it did mean the game itself was a much stronger product overall.

If you’ve played any game in the Leisure Suit Larry series, Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals will feel extremely familiar in terms of its gameplay loop. In each scene, you direct Larry and Patti around, interacting with characters and objects via typing. The world is fully explorable, too. This means that you’ll need to do a lot of backtracking to find all of the solutions to the puzzles.

The overall objective is to help Larry seduce various women, mostly to no avail. You must do this by picking up objects around the world, and figuring out who the right person is to give it to. For the first time in the series’ history, Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals adds a second playable character in the form of Passionate Patti. Her levels are much shorter in general. However, they mostly play the same as Larry’s.

Of course, the main thing that sets the game apart is the series’ traditional crude humor, which makes a return in Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals. It pushes more boundaries than ever before for the series.

The entire gameplay loop of Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti in Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals involves Larry talking to a bunch of different women in order to win their affection. As a result, the game has a few different main characters worth discussing. Here’s the full list:

  • Larry Laffer: The recently divorced Larry is back on the market after his divorce. As with the other games in the series, Larry doesn’t quite have a way with words, leading to him struggling to seduce the objects of his affection. That’s until he meets Passionate Patti.
  • Passionate Patti: Patti is the second playable character of the game and a jazz pianist at the main hotel. After Larry’s attempts to seduce the other women fail, Patti is the only one he has a chance with. The two become involved in an entanglement filled with misunderstandings and mayhem.
  • Tawni: Tawni is a topless sunbather who Larry takes an interest in, although she’s more interested in other things.
  • Cherri Tart: Cherri is a showgirl at the casino who Larry attempts to seduce, to no avail.
  • Suzi: Suzi is an attorney at the law firm handling Larry’s previous divorce proceedings. Larry’s attempts to get with her don’t quite go to plan.
  • Bambi: Bambi is an aerobics instructor whom Larry fails to seduce.

The Leisure Suit Larry series is iconic for its shameless brand of raunchy humor. Launching almost four decades ago, it’s a name that has stood the test of time, even if modern releases are much less frequent nowadays. The reason for this is simple. Adventure games of their ilk just don’t come around too often anymore, although that hasn’t stopped a few attempts at bringing Leisure Suit Larry into the modern era.

The most recent title in the series, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice, may end up being the last, after the death of Larry’s voice actor, Jan Rabson.
