Is Quantic Dream Developing A New Multiplayer Game?

Is Quantic Dream Developing A New Multiplayer Game?

Quantic Dream is well known for their cinematic, single-player experiences. Their upcoming title, Beyond: Two Souls, will even push the boundaries of cinematic gaming even further. But whatever they are planning to work on after Two Souls is going to be a bit different; it may even have a multiplayer component.

The news comes from a recent job posting that’s specifically asking for a lead online programmer with a strong understanding of multiplayer games. Unfortunately, further details about the project are not yet available, and even the bustling rumor mill is silent. “What sort of multiplayer game could Quantic Dream make?” is a hard to answer question.

Quantic Dream has not yet announced the game, so it’s always possible that this isn’t a new game at all. Perhaps the studio is looking to integrate some sort of multiplayer into Beyond: Two Souls. It would be interesting if you could play the game with an online buddy who would control the spirit.

David Cage, head of Quantic Dream, has said that the studio already has its next three games planned, and that one will be an absolutely amazing hit for the PlayStation 4. Perhaps this online offering is one of those titles.
