Andro Dunos is a retro shoot-em-up arcade game that was released in 1992. It was released on Arcade and Neo Geo AES in its first year. The title was developed by Japanese studio Visco Corporation and published by Japanese gaming giant SNK. It was ported to the Neo Geo CD in 2012 and to Dreamcast in 2022.
It received mixed reviews from both critics and players when it was first released. But it was also considered one of the most popular arcade games in 1992. While considered unoriginal, it has been praised for its colorful graphics, simplistic controls, and multiple weapons.
Andro Dunos Premise
This sci-fi shooter takes place in a futuristic setting where an alien race is trying to invade. Players must control special aircraft in order to defend mankind. The two aircraft are known as the Yellow Cherry and the Red Fox. Which one players control depends on if they are player 1 or player 2.
Andro Dunos has eight different levels for players to conquer. There are four different weapons available but recharging their abilities decreases its power level and puts the ship at risk.
Andro Dunos Series
While it is a short series, Andro Dunos received a sequel in 2022. This retro game is beloved enough to get a sequel two decades after its release. Andro Dunos II was released on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Dreamcast, and the Nintendo 3DS.
Andro Dunos Cheat Codes
Unfortunately for players on all consoles, Andro Dunos does not have any cheat code system implemented. The game was designed and intended to be played in one sitting. Adding any cheat mechanics would trivialize the challenge.
Andro Dunos Cheat Code FAQ
Does Andro Dunos have cheat codes?
Unfortunately no, Andros Duno does not have any in-game cheat codes or passwords. Many retro arcade games were meant to be played in one go, no saves either. Cheat codes would eliminate the intended challenges.
What are cheat codes used for?
Cheat codes are exploits that can change the game’s behavior and give players an unfair advantage. They may move players to the next level, make the player have super speed, or some other action that wouldn’t take place without them. They can also make the game more accessible and appealing to casual gamers or those who find the game’s current state inaccessible.
