As many of us already know, Telltale Games is doing an episodic video game based on the Back to the Future films. What the studio has kept a little quieter is the upcoming episodic series based on another film franchise: Jurassic Park. Telltale claims that they don’t want to make just “another dinosaur shooting game.” This one will focus more on character development and player choices. Executive director Kevin Boyle said, “You are going to feel drama. You are going to feel tension. You’ll feel different kinds of emotions. There’s humor. Light moments. Downtime to get to like the characters. Certainly the wonder and awe of the island, and then everything breaks down to those moments of terror.”  And of course, there will be dinosaurs, too. There’s even a new beast not seen in films: one with eyes that glow in the dark. Jurassic Park will be available in five downloadable episodes sometime this year. |
