Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Slated For September

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Slated For September

The HD collection of Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories now has a North American release date; it will be coming on September 10.

In addition to visually updated versions of the games in question, the collection will include scenes from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, content from Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, and an art book for those who pre-order. It is available for pre-order from GameStop, Amazon, Walmart, and the Square Enix Online Store.

Interestingly, Square Enix is referring to this collection as “the first three Kingdom Hearts titles,” comprising the original game, Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days. It’s unclear exactly what sort of chronology they’re using, since 358/2 days definitely came out after Kingdom Hearts 2 and is preceded, in storyline, by Birth By Sleep.

Such is the way of marketing speak, though. It doesn’t always have to make sense.
