Kojima Making an Adventure Game?

Kojima Making an Adventure Game?

None

Hideo Kojima has historically been a difficult person to gauge. How can you hope to figure out what he’s doing when he says that every Metal Gear Solid game he makes will be his last, just to announce he’s working on a new one several months later? This time, however, the insight into Kojima’s future plans are coming from a secondary source, perhaps making them easier to believe.

According to an interview held by 4gamer and reported by Andriasang, Kojima is currently working on an adventure game with 5pb CEO Chiyomaru Shikura. In the interview Shikura stated “With regards to the projects that I’m directly involved in, there’s the third entry in that science series, and the project with Konami’s Hideo Kojima. I think these are the two things that I should first put my full effort behind.” When asked about the project Shikura continued “Kojima said that he wanted to make an adventure game. We’re still at the level of ‘let’s lock ourselves away in the mountains somewhere and work on the plot,’ so the specifics haven’t been finalized.” No further details were given about the project, however, once it’s finished I’m guessing it will probably be Kojima’s final adventure game. That is, at least until he announces he’s working on another one.
