Bear with us on this one: over six months back, word leaked out of an interview with Hideo Kojima, courtesy of OPM UK , that would reveal details on Metal Gear Solid 5, strongly implying that he would announce the game. It was revealed, soon after, that this statement was somewhat premature, the interview only speaking of Kojima’s assumption that he would, some day, be compelled to make another MGS sequel. Thus, understand our skepticism when we report that, in an interview with French publication IG Magazine, Kojima made comments that seemingly indicated the existence of Metal Gear Solid 5. Specifically, he speaks of a greater focus on infiltration and espionage and the idea of social interactions. The Kojima quotes have been investigated by CVG, which was contacted by a spokesperson for IG, claiming that they are legitimate. This includes the apparent statement by Kojima that Metal Gear Solid 5 will use the FOX Engine.
