LEGO City Undercover Revealed For Wii U

The LEGO game announced by Nintendo at last year’s E3 has been given a name: Lego City Undercover. Developed by longtime LEGO video game developer Traveller’s Tales, the game will feature an open world setting based on the classic LEGO City sets.



The title will put players in the shoes of a gritty—well, about as gritty as a LEGO man can be—undercover cop named Chase McCain, will feature its own story, unlike most LEGO titles, and will feature special Wii U functionality such as using the tablet controller to locate hidden criminals.

So far, the game looks rather charming, with a tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and simple, family-friendly combat. No release date has been given, but Nintendo did announce that a 3DS version of the game is also in the works.
