The 10 Best Pokémon To Use In Pokémon Unite

Pokémon Unite is a hugely popular MOBA, akin to the likes of Dota 2 and League of Legends. In this game, you take charge of your favorite Pokémon, leading them into battle across multiple lanes in chaotic 5v5 action.

With over 50 playable Pokémon to choose from right now, it can be daunting to know exactly who to choose in every situation. We’re going to make it easy for you. We’ve put together this list of the top 10 best Pokémon to use in Pokémon Unite, so you can dominate the server every time!

10. Inteleon

  • Passive Ability: Sniper
  • Moves: Tearful Look, Fell Stinger, Acrobatics, Water Gun, Snipe Shot, Liquidation, and Azure Spy Vision
  • Type: Ranged Attacker

Inteleon makes this list by virtue of its late-game potential. Early on, it’s quite a difficult, slow Pokémon to use, and can be rather squishy during combat. Stick with Inteleon though, and you’ll make yourself a powerful asset in the latter stages of matches.

What really saves Inteleon in Pokémon Unite is its Passive Ability, Sniper. This allows you to become camouflaged, as well as untargetable while gaining critical counters every three seconds (up to three). With this in mind, after just nine seconds of camouflage, you can guarantee yourself three critical hits. Combine this with its Azure Spy Vision Unite Move, which doubles Inteleon’s critical hit rate, and you’ve got yourself an absolute nightmare to face on the battlefield.

9. Urshifu

  • Passive Abilities: Inner Focus and Unseen Fist
  • Moves: Rock Smash, Wicked Blow, Surging Strikes, Headbutt, Throat Chop, Liquidation, Ebon Fist, and Flowing Fists
  • Type: Melee All-Rounder

Urshifu is an extremely powerful All-Rounder in Pokémon Unite. It’s slow, for sure. But it more than makes up for it with what it offers in terms of just about everything else. One of its Passive Abilities, Unseen Fist, allows Urshifu to deal 30% of the damage done to shields directly to enemy HP. As well as this, its Single Strike Style Auto Attack offers great burst damage, as does its Rapid Strike Style.

Because of these benefits, many players go for a full-offense build for Urshifu. He has good enough survivability by default, so improving his attack can make him a fearsome foe.

8. Lapras

  • Passive Ability: Shell Armor
  • Moves: Whirlpool, Water Pulse, Perish Song, Ice Shard, Bubble Beam, Ice Beam, and Lapras Express
  • Type: Ranged Defender

For Lapras, most players build into its Perish Song move to reap its full potential. This move has the ability to instantly knock out other Pokémon, and is available from pretty early on in matches. Lapras scales extremely well from start to finish, and can be extremely hard to kill with high durability. Combine this with Bubble Beam, and in the right hands you’ve got yourself a near-unkillable weapon.

For best results, Lapras should be played in either the top or bottom lane. It doesn’t have nearly enough mobility for the jungle role, with the cooldown on Lapras Express being far too long to reliably use here.

7. Umbreon

  • Passive Abilities: Anticipation and Inner Focus
  • Moves: Swift, Mean Look, Foul Play, Fake Tears, Wish, Snarl, and Moonlight Prance
  • Type: Melee Defender

Umbreon in Pokémon Unite is a strange case. It’s technically classified as a Defender, however, its durability isn’t as high as others. Yet despite this, it’s still extremely powerful in the right hands.

Umbreon isn’t the strongest or the fastest Pokémon, but what sets it apart is its array of healing moves. All of Wish, Moonlight Prance, and its Auto Attack allow Umbreon to heal, with these moves scaling well as matches progress. This means that by the end of matches, Umbreon is extremely difficult to kill.

Most players build into the Foul Play move for Umbreon, as it’s the best way to complement the healing moves with damage and crowd control. This makes Umbreon an extremely well-rounded Pokémon to have on the battlefield.

6. Zoroark

  • Passive Ability: Illusion
  • Moves: Slash, Shadow Claw, Cut, Fury Swipes, Night Slash, Feint Attack, and Nightfall Daze
  • Type: Melee Speedster

As of right now, Zoroark has the highest standard attack damage in the entire game, alongside multiple dash abilities which allow it to move around the map faster than any other Pokémon. Because of this, Zoroark makes an excellent jungler.

You won’t want it in the middle of a huge battle, as it doesn’t have great HP and is susceptible to crowd-control abilities. But if you can take a hit-and-run approach, Zoroark can be a real force to be reckoned with.

5. Slowbro

  • Passive Ability: Oblivious
  • Moves: Water Gun, Scald, Surf, Slack Off, Amnesia, Telekinesis, and Slowbeam
  • Type: Ranged Defender

It’s slow, it doesn’t do much damage, and its HP isn’t exactly what you want from a Defender. So what makes Slowbro one of the best Pokémon in Pokémon Unite?

In short, he’s the perfect Support Pokémon. Water Gun slows enemies, as does Scald. Surf throws enemies into the air, neutralizing them for a moment. Telekinesis has essentially the same effect, too. Then, there’s its Unite Move, Slowbeam. This move applies the Bound effect to enemies (even ones that are Unstoppable!), freezing them in place for a brief moment. Ultimately, Slowbro has the moveset to isolate enemies in a variety of different ways, that your teammates are able to capitalize on. Slowbro might not seem the best on the surface, but it can be the ultimate Support when played right.

4. Zacian

  • Passive Ability: Intrepid Sword
  • Moves: Slash, Metal Claw, Sacred Sword, Quick Attack, Agility, Play Rough, and Sovereign Sword
  • Type: Melee All-Rounder

Damage output is the name of the game for Zacian. While it’s classed as an All-Round in Pokémon Unite, to see what it’s capable of you’re going to want to build into its attacking capabilities. Because of this, we recommend a Sacred Sword and Play Rough build, which allows you to deal a ton of area-of-effect damage with plenty of agility for every situation.

If you build Zacian right, it can be an extremely versatile choice. Top, bottom, or jungle – you can play anywhere. The only negative holding Zacian back is its ability to only equip two Held items.

3. Mew

  • Passive Abilities: Synchronize and Move Reset
  • Moves: Electro Ball, Solar Beam, Surf, Coaching, Light Screen, Agility, and Mystical Mirage
  • Type: Ranged Attacker

Mew is great because it can play just about any role. Each of its moves complements each other, and it’s up to you to decide how you want to build upon them.

If you’re looking for an Attack-focused Mew, you can go for an Electro Ball and Light Screen build, which gives you all the firepower you’ll need. Alternatively, if you want to play more of a Support role, Surf and Coaching offer enough to your teammates that offensive power can come from elsewhere. Mew might not be classed as an All-Rounder, but you can certainly play it like one.

2. Mega Mewtwo Y

  • Passive Ability: Pressure
  • Moves: Confusion, Future Sight, Psystrike, Barrier, Recover, Teleport, and Infinite Psyburn
  • Type: Ranged Attacker

Mega Mewtwo Y is an insanely powerful choice in Pokémon Unite. Its extremely low base Attack means it can struggle at first, but once you begin to level up, you’ll swiftly overtake the competition on the battlefield.

Its Sp. Attack rating is absurdly high, which means your later abilities are going to cause absolute mayhem. The Pressure Passive Ability also allows you to increase attack speed by 6% up to ten times, so you’re going to be hitting faster than just about anyone else. Mega Mewtwo Y is certainly a choice you should consider picking up in Pokémon Unite.

1. Mega Mewtwo X

  • Passive Ability: Pressure
  • Moves: Confusion, Future Sight, Psystrike, Barrier, Recover, Teleport, and Infinite Psyburn
  • Type: Melee All-Rounder

Don’t be confused by the identical moveset between Mega Mewtwo X and Y. In Pokémon Unite, these two play completely differently. Mega Mewtwo X is an overpowered All-Rounder, with extremely high damage output and lifesteal that scales extremely well in the late-game.

Its Passive Ability, Pressure, also allows you to increase Mega Mewtwo X’s Attack, Defense, and Sp. Def by up to 20%, which is an absolutely crazy buff for any Pokémon to have. In our mind, Mega Mewtwo X is by far the best Pokémon in Pokémon Unite.
