Turbine lifted the veil on the Lord of the Rings Online’s newest raid boss today. Draigoch is a dragon that is supposedly one of the most powerful creatures in Middle-earth. According to the rumors, this thing is absolutely massive. But you won’t be fighting him alone; he comes at the end of a 24-man raid that will ship with the Rise of Isengard expansion due out this September. This comes as a delight to fans, who have been clamoring for another 24-man raid for years. Previously, the only full raid that required this many players was Helegrod, and that was chopped down into bite-sized pieces last year when LotRO became free to play. Sure, there were two tiny little raids in Angmar, but many players over-leveled their characters and farmed these raids with only 12 people anyway. Rise of Isengard should finally deliver another proper 24-man experience.
Rise of Isengard is on schedule for a September 27 release. For more details, check out our full preview by clicking here. |
