Mass Effect 2 Confirmed for E3 Showing

None

In a blog posting by BioWare executive producer Casey Hudson at IGN, it was confirmed that Mass Effect 2 will make its presence known at E3 2009.

According to Hudson, the game bears “so many improvements and exciting content that it feels like it’s straining to break free. Fortunately we’ll be able to do that this summer when we demonstrate it at E3.”

He continued to state that players can “look forward to some incredible new experiences in Mass Effect 2, as the story takes on even larger proportions, along with a ton of gameplay improvements and a return of the things most loved by players of the first game.”

The dark second entry in the series will also likely feature a return of Commander Shepard. Hudson’s comments seem to fly in the face of rumors that were sparked after the initial teaser trailer. However, they are still somewhat cryptic in nature, as he still teases us with the prospect of a major twist:

“Oh, and I’ve heard some rumors that Commander Shepard is dead. Better not be. We had a lot of big plans made, so if someone’s gone and killed Shepard then things are going to take an unexpected turn…”
