Signs are pointing toward Mass Effect 2 becoming the first blockbuster video game of 2010. Mass Effect 2 has already “sold-in” 2 million units; so, retailers expect the game to sell well. We’ll have to wait and see what NPD says the first week consumer sales are, but they’ll likely be very high if critical acclaim has anything to do with it. Mass Effect 2 is now the second-highest rated Xbox 360 game of all-time with a critical average of 96, as compiled by Metacritic. We gave the game a 4.9 – that’s a 98 if you’re nasty.
