California’s Great America is about to become Commander Shepard’s favorite amusement park on the planet. EA is teaming up with the park for a Mass Effect experience. Notice I said experience, rather than roller coaster. It’s going to be a 3D and 4D adventure more along the lines of Honey, I Shrunk the Audience! than Space Mountain.
The Mass Effect inspired experience will be led by a performer. Players will head out into the universe and see familiar sights. Apparently, people will get to “take part” in the adventure as they fight against enemies. Maybe there’ll be Reapers? BioWare didn’t provide specifics, but it seems likely. We won’t know for sure until the attraction opens in 2016, though.
