Yesterday, Tribute Games Writer Yannick Belzil confirmed via the PlayStation Blog that Mercenary Kings would finally be coming to the PlayStation 4 on April 1 st . This action-packed 2D platformer originally launched on PC through Steam Early access last summer.
Mercenary Kings is a game that allows players to use up to four different squad members to navigate through a dangerous island and prevent an evil organization from taking over the world. There are a total of over 300 customizable gun parts and 100 knives that serve as the perfect weapon options throughout the game. Belzil also announced that Mercenary Kings is now fully compatible with PlayStation Vita Remote Play.
While Sony has yet to reveal how much this game will cost, my best guess is that they will most likely feature this as the free PS4 game for PlayStation Plus subscribers next month. These promotions have worked out very well in the past with the PS4 release of Don’t Starve and Outlast earlier this year. Based off of this trend, Mercenary Kings seems like an ideal choice for April.
Have any of you had a chance to play this game on PC yet? If not, are any of you willing to try it out on PS4 next month? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
