Metal Gear Solid V Devs Passed on Vacations for the PC Version

How dedicated are you to your job? Would you sacrifice your vacation days to make sure something got done? The people at Konami did. The PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was supposed to be released on September 15, two weeks after the console versions. But it turns out the developer gave up personal time to get it out on September 1.

Ken-ichiro Imaizumi made the announcement on Twitter in response to some people who were complaining that Konami didn’t care about PC gamers. The Senior Producer said that staff gave up their summer vacations to make sure the PC version would launch at the same time and called the situation sad.

All versions of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are available today. However, Metal Gear Solid Online, one of its game modes, won’t be available until on consoles until October 6. The PC version will get the additional online mode in January.
