While most Xbox 360 owners have likely been able to successfully remove all memories of the free and terribly bad Yaris XBLA game advertisement by now, Microsoft continues to remind us of that horror. To raise awareness of both Microsoft’s Kinect and Chevrolet’s new electric car, Volt, the two companies have joined forces to cross promote each others’ products.  What this means is that starting this fall, visiting participating Chevrolet showrooms will allow patrons to get an early look at Kinect Joyride. On the other end, purchasers of Kinect Joyride will also be able to unlock a useable Chevrolet Volt by simply watching an advertisement for the vehicle on the Xbox 360’s dashboard. Perhaps this will not be quite as offensive as Yaris was, but we’ll have to witness it for ourselves to know for sure. |
