Microsoft Working On Four Unnamed New IPs

Microsoft Working On Four Unnamed New IPs

LinkedIn is becoming an amazing place for gaming leaks. Microsoft senior product manager/planner Jonathan Browne recently updated his own LinkedIn profile with this bit of juicy information: “I have been the primary product manager on four unannounced new IP and have been a key contributor to bringing these IP from the very early concept phase through green light to production.”

This opens up two interesting options. Either, Microsoft is coming up with a bunch of new IPs to release just before the Xbox 360’s death, or Microsoft is making a variety of new IPs for whatever its next generation console will be. I’m inclined to bet on the latter.

Unfortunately, no details about these new IPs are available. Jonathan Browne has worked on SSX and Army of Two in the past, but whatever these IPs are, they won’t be attached to existing franchises. If these new IPs are launch titles, they could take the place of some well-established names like Halo.
