RUMOR: Black Ops 2 On Wii U?

RUMOR: Black Ops 2 On Wii U?

According to the LinkedIn page of a QA tester from Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 may be coming to the Wii U. IGN scooped up this story, identifying the tester only as Randall. Randall’s experience at Treyarch listed the following:

QA tester for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Duties include QA testing on PS3 and Wii U, multiplayer testing while collaborating with team, ad hoc testing, and regression. Bugwriting, research, and documentation are performed with each issue that is found.

This is the first we are hearing about a Wii U version of the next big CoD game. There have been many rumors and theories about CoD’s eventual migration to the Wii U platform, and several analysts have said it would be foolish for Activision not to take advantage of the Wii U’s innovative control scheme and top-of-the-line specs. In addition, Modern Warfare 3 and Black Ops both came to the Wii as toned-down versions of their HD console selves.

Activision has not yet commented on this surprise resume revelation. We will bring you more information as it becomes available. However, if the Wii U is going to be your console of choice in this next gaming generation, it’s probably safe to say you will be able to get in on the Call of Duty action in some shape or form.
