MLB 14: The Show Online Support Ends On June 18th

This past weekend, Sony updated its PlayStation UK support website with a list of games that will lose online support in the near future. One of the most noticeable games on this list is MLB 14: The Show , which will go offline indefinitely on June 18 for the PS4, PS Vita, and PS3. Many are presuming that this will happen to the game’s North American servers as well, though we don’t yet have official confirmation on that front.

With MLB 15: The Show expected to launch next week across all 3 PlayStation consoles, fans already aren’t responding well to this news. While Sony hasn’t openly stated why it is taking this approach, the general feeling is that the team wants to focus all of its efforts on supporting the latest version of the game.

It’s a well known fact that yearly sports game releases are a norm, but most keep their servers going for longer than a single year. Still, if you want to experience all that MLB 15 has to offer online, then you’ll have no choice but to pick up the latest entry in the series.

MLB 15: The Show launches on March 31 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
