While Mortal Kombat XL isn’t a brand new game, there are some minor adjustments that make it different than the basic Mortal Kombat X . Which means Warner Bros. has released a patch to ensure the two games will play nice with each other. a patch that’s about 5-7GB has been released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
The Mortal Kombat X patch does more than make sure it works well with Mortal Kombat XL, fix some existing issues, and display the new Kombat Pack 2 characters in the roster. It also adds new content to the game. The Pit has been added as a stage for all, complete with its own Fatality. The Kove has a stage Fatality now too.
Mortal Kombat X also gets brand new netcode with the latest patch. Finally exiting beta testing, the new netcode greatly reduces the versus matches’ lag, ping issues with digital copies, and other matchmaking and multiplayer issues. Test it out, and you’ll definitely see a difference.
Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat XL are immediately available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
