Network Test and amiibo Revealed for Dark Souls Remastered

Network Test and amiibo Revealed for Dark Souls Remastered

During the Nintendo Direct presentation on March 8, 2018, some new announcements were made concerning the upcoming Dark Souls Remastered , which will be released on multiple platforms in addition to the Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco will be hosting a network test on the Switch for the game ahead of launch, and Dark Souls will also be joining Nintendo’s line of amiibo figures.

The Dark Souls: Remastered network test will be running on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Players will have access to a limited chunk of the game in order to stress test the game’s online features. A date for the test was not provided.

The next part is fun. Nintendo announced that the infamous Solaire of Astoria will be immortalized in amiibo form, accompanying the game on launch day. The figure will retail at $15.99 and be sold exclusively through GameStop. The figure grants early access to the “Praise the Sun” gesture and will allow it to be… performed with “reckless abandon.”

Dark Souls Remastered will be launching on May 25, and will cost $39.99 on all platforms, including Steam.
