Are you familiar with Bungie Bounties? These are a way to prove that you really are better at Destiny than the people who actually made the game. Of course, when you think about it, it’s kind of hard to be proud of that; planning, designing, programming, debugging, marketing… it’s all very hard work, and I’m sure that the good people at Bungie have very little time to actually play video games. At any rate, beating the developers entitles you to some unique bragging rights, and you’ll even get a special emblem to prove you’re not just blowing smoke.
The current Bungie Bounty revolves around Destiny’s latest special timed event: the Sparrow Racing League. I decided pretty early on that Sparrow Racing isn’t really my thing. I’m good at it, but I don’t find it particularly entertaining, especially because random enemies can derail you and cause you to wreck at the worst possible times. I’ve run more than one race, maintaining a lead for 2 laps, only to get wrecked at the end of the third lap and finish poorly. I may give it another go tomorrow. From 6-8 PST, select, unnamed Bungie team members will be taking part in random races. Every non-Bungie top-3 finisher will receive a special emblem to commemorate their victory over the lords of the league. Take a crack at it and see if you have what it takes.
