New Campaigns Now Added to Space Hulk

Space Hulk , a game set in the grim darkness of the far future, gets two new additional campaigns to its roster, and with them comes new features and challenges too. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait until the 41st millenium to get your hands on these DLCs, because they are now available on Steam today!

Space Hulk is the turn-based strategy videogame adaptation to the popular board game of the same name set within the Warhammer 40,000 universe. With these two new campaigns, Sword of Halcyon and Defilement of Honour , come five new levels each and campaign specific environmental features like Bulkhead Doors ( Sword of Halcyon ) and Air Ducts ( Defilement of Honour ).

We are excited to expand the universe of Space Hulk with the launch of two brand new campaigns, ” said Thomas Hentschel Lund, CEO of Full Control in a press release today. “ These two popular campaigns from the vaults of White Dwarf [a Games Workshop magazine] introduce new features to the game that really shake up gameplay.

The Sword of Halcyon campaign will take you through a salvage mission where you have to reclaim a Space Marine vessel (a big-ass ship), The Sword of Halcyon , after it crashed into a space hulk upon entering the Warp. When the Battlebarge (an even bigger big-ass ship), Mayan, comes to pick up the escape pods, time becomes of the essence as you attempt to recapture The Sword of Halcyon , and the environmental gimmick–the bulkhead doors–will allow you to completely shut off areas so you can concentrate on going forward without having to worry about looking behind (though it’s probably best if you do anyway).

The Defilement of Honour campaign, on the other hand, takes you on a space hulk that’s drifting through space by its still-functioning engines, guided by ancient navigational system to some unknown coordinates. You have to shut down these engines before the space hulk tears itself apart through scientifically explained means that I can’t currently think of at the moment, but you better watch the air ducts, and be prepared to have a similar experience of watching something nasty jump out at you from air ducts with the intent of mutilating your face.

Both DLCs are priced at $4.99 (£3.99) on Steam.
