A lot of fans have been excited about seeing the brand new Hitman game at E3 this year. Unfortunately, those fans will be disappointed. IO Interactive has just announced that their new Hitman project will not be on display at the conference.
“We’ve seen a lot of people talking about what we might be bringing to E3 this year. We know the worst thing is to hope for something that doesn’t turn up; so we wanted to let you know that our next Hitman is going to be under wraps for a bit longer,” the studio said. “We’re focusing all of our time and efforts into creating the best possible Hitman game. That’s our number one priority and we don’t want to divert valuable resources to show something before it’s ready.”
Square-Enix doesn’t have a particularly impressive lineup at the conference this year. None of their big titles like Kingdom Hearts 3 or Final Fantasy XV will be showing up, and this Hitman absence just makes their presence even weaker.
