New Mass Effect Attraction Opens in California Theme Park

New Mass Effect Attraction Opens in California Theme Park

Ah, theme parks: there’s nothing like ’em. Disney World, Six Flags, Universal Studios, California’s “Great America” park… What’s that? You’ve never heard of Great America? Buddy, you’re missing out on one of the premier destinations for families and thrill-seekers. Three out of five stars, says Yelp! Seriously though, if you’re in the Santa Clara area and looking for something cool to do this weekend, Great America has a brand new attraction that, while seemingly out of place, is sure to draw in some crowds.

The attraction is called “Mass Effect: New Earth.” Yes, that’s the same Mass Effect that comes to mind, and the ride is described as a “4D” experience. If you’ve ever had the chance to ride “Star Tours” in Disney World or Disneyland, it’s a similar concept: you’ll go sit in a small, mobile theater with 3D glasses on, and the ride will be a mixture of movement, live-action, and computer generated effects that all combine to create something that feels rather immersive. During “New Earth” you can expect appearances from Commander Shepard, Wrex, and Garrus, who are all voiced by their original voice actors. For more information and ticket prices, click here .
