Having already revealed a new form of Eevee, one of the original 151 Pokemon, the developers of Pokemon X and Y have now whet Pokemaniacs’ appetites for new critters with a video of a Pokemon who bears a not-so-subtle resemblance to Mewtwo.
Mewtwo, one of the most distinctive and powerful Pokemon of the original crew, is a genetic experiment created by Team Rocket with material from the elusive Mew. Though this new, unnamed Pokemon has similar coloration to Mewtwo, it has a long “tail” extending from the back of its head, beneath a thin arch at its crown.
Could this be an evolution of Mewtwo? Or, more likely, is this a second genetic experiment of some kind, the latest attempt to create the most powerful and deadly Pokemon of all time? Game Freak isn’t telling.
