New Wii U Super Mario Bros. To Be Shown At E3

New Wii U Super Mario Bros. To Be Shown At E3

None

Yesterday, Nintendo confirmed that it will be showing off a brand new Super Mario Bros. title for the Wii U at this year’s E3. This information originally cropped up in an interview Shigeru Miyamoto had with Spanish newspaper El Mundo , but it since has been confirmed by Nintendo.

The game is the very one we already saw teased in the Super Mario Bros. tech demo from last year’s E3. This tech demo showed how several different players could control a Wii U game at the same time. It introduced Mii support into a New Super Mario Bros. style stage, but other than that, the gameplay was pretty traditional for a 2D Mario game.

Nintendo has said that they will have more announcements about their E3 plans coming at a later date. We will bring you more information about Nintendo’s E3 plans as they become available, along with a full E3 report from the Nintendo booth and press conference when E3 starts in early June.
