Gizmodo got their hands on what looks to be the upcoming iteration of the Apple iPhone.

Apparently, this prototype iPhone was “found” by someone close to Gizmodo, and given to the tech site for testing and authenticity verification. From what the lengthy report concludes, Gizmodo thinks it is in fact the real thing.

While the squared-off look is the most readily noticeable distinction, other key features such as dual cameras (one front facing), a flash (not Adobe Flash – sorry), a “16% larger” battery, micro-Sim support, and higher resolution touch screen.

We’ll have to wait and see what actually hits the market (there’s a good chance that, if it is genuine, this is a beta/test model that will changes prior to manufacturing. Nevertheless, it appears that, at the very least, Apple is incorporating a lot of crucial features that consumers have been calling for.
