Nintendo Comments On Fire Emblem Delay

Nintendo Comments On Fire Emblem Delay

Fire Emblem: Awakening is one of the first games in history to become widely available via digital distribution before it even hits retail stores. But, unfortunately, this wasn’t planned. The game had numerous delays , street date snafus, and a whole lot of other problems that had turned the Awakening’s release into a gigantic mess. With Nintendo’s original run selling out in quickly, and online games selling like hotcakes, fans who refuse to venture into the world of digital distribution are getting anxious and impatient.

Nintendo has finally commented on the matter: “Nintendo makes every effort to make sure its games and systems are available at retail stores nationwide on launch day… Sometimes, because of the variables of shipping, different retailers receive their shipments on different days. Fire Emblem: Awakening can be purchased right now from the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.”

So, in short, keep your pants on. Fire Emblem: Awakening will be coming to retail stores very soon. We understand that the fanbase is anxious, but seriously, if it’s that important, the eShop is always available.
