Looking for your next RPG fix? A proud, card-carrying (credit card, that is) member of the PlayStation Network? Nippon Ichi Software has some dates that you might want to mark on your calendar. Or in your smartphone.
ClaDun X2 – The sequel to relentless action RPG ClaDun: This is an RPG, X2 promises more options for customization. Considering the first game was founded on its options, both for appearance and for combat, this game might border on statistical overload, even for the most mathmatical of us. It will be out at the end of August for the PSP, available exclusively on the PSN. Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland – A sequel to 2010’s Atelier Rorona, this game sees Rorona pass the torch to her student, Totori. An expansive and relatively traditional RPG series, the Atelier games have always had a certain penchant for crafting systems, and this latest entry promises to be no different. It will be available on the PlayStation 3 on September 27. Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten – The series that made NIS famous in the United States, Disgaea games are isometric strategy RPGs with purposely exploitable combo systems (attack damage can reach 10 billion hit points), over-the-top leveling potential (to level 9,999) and, as with most NIS games, a wicked sense of humor. Disgaea 4 hits retail, exclusively for the PlayStation 3, on September 6. By Shelby Reiches |
