Nvidia’s Call of Duty: Ghosts Requirements Are Not Official

Nvidia’s Call of Duty: Ghosts Requirements Are Not Official

Yesterday, we reported on a statement by Nvidia which stated that the Call of Duty: Ghosts PC version would require things like 6GBs of ram and a 50GB install to run . Today, it seems like Activision is politely disagreeing. On their official Twitter, Activision stated that the Nvidia requirements for Ghosts are unofficial, and that official requirements would be coming soon. That comes as a bit of relief, because these hefty requirements were cited as the MINIMUM requirements for getting the game to run. The recommended requirements must have required a quantum computer or something.

Still, it’s probably wise not to completely discount the report by Nvidia. Nvidia’s requirements have been fairly accurate in the past, and there’s no reason why Nvidia would simply post a factually false list of extra high requirements. That would just turn people away from buying the game. We will see how well these requirements synch up when Activision releases its official list in the near future. Until then, it’s probably wise to upgrade your rig just in case.
