Last night, Major Nelson confirmed on his blog that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is now out on both the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The game is also available for the PC, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, Wii U, iOS, Android, and PlayStation 4. This news comes just a few days before the action-adventure film of the same name is officially expected to hit theaters everywhere in North America.
This Beenox developed game generated a ton of controversy last week when reports surfaced online claiming that the game was indefinitely delayed on the Xbox One. Shortly after that news was released, Activision came forward and denied those claims while also stating that they were working extensively with Microsoft to come up with a feasible release date for the game.
I’m personally glad that both sides came to a mutual agreement and that we all can finally put this weird incident behind us. Activision knows that it would be a bad idea if this game didn’t appear on every console and made a decision that undoubtedly is best for business.
