Last month was a busy one for gamers with the release of several high-profile games. However, the recent NPD report has some surprises about which titles sold the highest during the period. If you guessed that Fable III, Fallout: New Vegas, or Medal of Honor would snag the top spot for video game sales, you’d be wrong.  That honor instead goes to basketball sim NBA 2K11! And if your favorite games were for the Nintendo Wii, you will be even more disappointed, as there is not even one Nintendo Wii game in the top ten (not even Kirby’s Epic Yarn!). This NPD Report definitely has some food for thought. Perhaps the sports genre is a bigger sales juggernaut then we thought. |
