Official Website For Modern Warfare 3 Launches

None

The website for Activision’s next Modern Warfare title has launched. However, if you’re looking for brand new MW3 details, the site won’t give you a whole lot yet. The new site shows a map with waypoints set on the four areas that the game will most likely be taking place in: America, France, England, and Germany. Clicking on the waypoints brings up trailers for each location. These trailers were originally put on YouTube and received almost 4 million views within the first 48 hours.

Modern Warfare 3 will be the first Call of Duty game that features an attack on U.S. soil, and it will be interesting to see how far Activision decides to take it. Modern Warfare 2 featured the infamous “No Russian” stage that had players overtaking a Russian Airport in a violent shootout. It’s doubtful things will get that serious, considering America is actually being attacked (and the company probably received enough bad publicity from “No Russian”), but it’s worth noting nonetheless. The website also has a global chatter feature so you can share your excitement (or gripes) with the MW3 community.

Modern Warfare 3 is scheduled to be released in November, and we expect to hear much more information in the weeks leading up to E3, but you can view the website here.
