PAYDAY: The Heist Delayed

PAYDAY: The Heist Delayed

None

One of the standout titles from last summer’s E3 convention was Overkill’s PAYDAY: The Heist. Sony Online Entertainment is publisher on the project, and they had originally planned to release PAYDAY this week. However, the game has suffered a few last minute delays and has subsequently been pushed back to the end of the month.

“This delay is a move to ensure players and fans of our promise and vision to produce high-caliber games that deliver the best quality game experience,” said a Sony representative. “Players who pre-ordered PAYDAY: The Heist will receive the game at launch, and those who purchased the four other PSN titles as part of the PlayStation Network PLAY program will also be awarded PAYDAY: The Heist when it launches later this month, according to the terms of that program.”

PAYDAY is a squad-based FPS that places players in the role of “a hardened career criminal” and allows them to pull several high-risk heists. Now, I don’t want to oversell this game, but “heist-pulling career criminal” is basically the most badass job description in history. So, if you don’t want this game, you’re not a man.

No word on an exact release date yet, but Sony seems confident that it’ll be out by November.
