Peggle 2 Is No Longer an Xbox One Launch Title

Peggle 2 Is No Longer an Xbox One Launch Title

The launch list of next-gen games just keeps getting smaller. First Watch_Dogs gets pushed back , then Driveclub gets delayed for the PS4 , and now the Xbox One’s launch list is getting chopped down as the much anticipated casual game Peggle 2 has been “delayed.” We use quotes there because now it isn’t particularly clear if the game was supposed to be a launch title in the first place.

“Peggle 2 is a ‘launch timeframe’ title,” PopCap senior director of PR Garth Chouteau told GamesBeat over email. “But [it] will not launch day-and-date with the Xbox One — instead, it will become available a few weeks later in December.” PopCap has also gone on record saying that it might have “mischaracterized” Peggle 2 as a launch title instead of a launch-frame title. A specific launch date for the game has not yet been given.

Granted, there are probably fewer people buying an Xbox One for Peggle 2 than Killer Instinct or Crimson Dragon , but this news is certainly to disappoint some fans of the original physics puzzler. Just another reason to hold out on buying your next-gen console until the killer apps start to hit.
