Some of your favorite, Sony buddies want to spend some time with you in a completely unrelated game. Activision has announced console-specific promotions for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 , and they’re pretty cool. If you go with the PS3 or PS4 edition, you’ll get cameo cameos! (That was a stretch. I’m sorry.)
People who pick up Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 for one of Sony’s consoles will get three additional heads for custom skaters. Which seems all well and good, until their identities are revealed. This means your avatar could be Ratchet, Sackboy, or Sweet Tooth. There are no in-game screenshots of these personifications, but Sweet Tooth seems like he’d fit in well in a skate park.
Since only the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 have online multiplayer, this reveal makes the $59.99 PS4 iteration seem like it could be the ultimate edition. At least, it seems that way for now. Things could change if it turns out Activision has some sort of unannounced, exclusivity deal with Microsoft too. We’ll have to sait and see if more news appears before the September 29, 2015 launch.
