Sony has promised to release firmware update 2.10 for the PlayStation 3 tomorrow, bringing new features for Blu-ray support as well as widening the array of movie watching options.
Firmware update 2.10 will add Profile 1.1 Blu-ray playback, which is a feature Sony has long been promising to implement for the PS3. Profile 1.1 will enable Blu-ray features such as the use of picture in a picture playback. Also included in the update is the ability to finally play DivX support, widening the options for video playback on the PS3. Last but not least, Sony is also adding the ability for online gamers to mask their voice.
