The title of the news piece says it all: PS3 Firmware 3.0 is now up and available for download. Yesterday, Eric Lempell, Director of PlayStation Network Operations, posted to the official PlayStation blog that the new update would be ready iminently. However, seeing as how we were able to update the PS3s this morning, we can confirm it is now ready to rock. The new update brings with it a host of upgrades including improved navigation, cosmetic changes to the XMB (Xross Media Bar), and “network improvements and personalization options to help enhance your PS3 experience.” For a lot more info including a demo video by Eric Lempell himself, click HERE to browse through our August 18th posting.
