PSN Adds 3 Million Users Since Breach

PSN Adds 3 Million Users Since Breach

None

Back when the PSN was hacked and everyone was mortally terrified that they were going to have their identities stolen, there was some doubt as to whether or not the PSN would ever get back on its feet. Trust doesn’t come easy, and it seems as if many people would start moving away from the PSN due to fear of their information leaking out into the wrong hands. Well, Sony is here to stick its tongue out at everyone who doubted them, because they have actually grown since the big PSN breach.

Recently, Sony CEO Howard Stringer addressed a crowd at a Berlin electronics show, saying that the PSN had not only recovered, but had added three million new users in a short three month period. While he admitted that this summer Sony was “flattened, hacked, and singed” he said the worst times are behind them, and that the PSN is more secure than ever and offers more features than ever before.

Well, I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been buying all my PSN games with PSN points cards. Then again, if this moves more PSN point cards and gets more people to sign up under dummy accounts, I suppose it’s still a win for Sony.
