In a press release issued today, Ubisoft announced that the third console title in the Ezio cycle—Assassin’s Creed Revelations—will have a multiplayer beta. They further revealed that this beta will be a PlayStation exclusive, available only to PlayStation Plus and Uplay members. Running from September 3-11, the beta will allow players to take on nine different personae (Sentinel, Vanguard, Guardian, Vizier, Thespian, Deacon, Bombardier, Trickster, and Champion) on three maps in four different modes, which range from the typical deathmatch to “Artifact Assault.” As of yet, there is no word on whether Revelations will have an Xbox 360 beta to accompany its PlayStation 3 counterpart.
