What’s better than one Assassin’s Creed? Two Assassin’s Creeds, of course.

In a strange twist of events, it was revealed that the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed Revelations will come bundled with the original Assassin’s Creed. The goal here is to catch gamers up on what happened to the original protagonist Altaïr, since the story of Revelations ties Ezio back to him.



But I’m not sure which Assassin’s Creed newbies will actually benefit from this. Anyone who starts playing the Assassin’s Creed franchise with Assassin’s Creed Revelations is going to be pretty lost anyway. They still have Assassin’s Creed 2 and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood to catch up on before they even know who Ezio is and why he’s doing what he is doing.

So, it’s a nice bonus, but I think it might be a little mistargeted. Still, I’m not one to knock Ubisoft for giving out free copies of Assassin’s Creed.
