PSP Remakes Come To PS3

PSP Remakes Come To PS3

None

It’s been a long-standing rumor that Sony has been eyeing its first-party PSP games for release on the PS3. And with the PSP’s lifecycle finally winding down, Sony has finally confirmed the existence of these remakes. However, these remakes won’t just be ports.

Every game in what is being called the “PlayStation Portable Remaster Series” will feature HD graphics, support for dual-stick and control pad controls, and multiplayer compatibility between the PSP and PS3 system. In addition, if you already have save data on your PSP, you can share it with the PS3 and pick up where you left off.

Unfortunately, if you are wondering what games are going to get the remaster treatment, you will have to wait for E3. Though Monster Hunter Portable has been announced for Japan, we have no news on what might be coming for the North American market. We absolutely cannot guarantee that portables from the God of War or Metal Gear series could be part of the Remaster Series, but we’re crossing our fingers anyway.
