Rayman 3 Gets HD Makeover

Rayman 3 Gets HD Makeover

None

Rayman Origins is not the only Rayman game coming out soon. The classic Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is coming back as a downloadable title on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade.

The game, which was originally released for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC, will be getting a full HD upgrade. Not only will it have smoothed textures and tweaked environments, but it will also run at a steady 60 frames per second, like modern day HD games. Not only that, but the game will have built in achievements, worldwide leaderboards, and nine standalone minigames to unlock. Rayman 3 will also feature “improved audio quality.” Whether that means that the game will have a new soundtrack or not is yet to be seen.

Rayman 3 was a much loved cult classic back in 2003, and with Rayman coming back to the stage with Rayman Origins, it will be nice to remember what made Rayman awesome in the first place. A solid release date for the remake has not yet been announced, but we have a general release window of Spring 2012.
