Yesterday Capcom announced that Biohazard 0, known as Resident Evil 0, would be remade for the Nintendo Wii. Hopes that the title would eventually make its way West were dashed when, according to IGN, a spokesman for Capcom Europe stated that, “We currently have no plans to bring the Wii version of Resident Evil 0 […] to either US or Europe at this point in time. It will most likely be a Japan-only release.” This revelation makes sense considering the lackluster success the original release met on European and US shores. However, if the body of Resident Evil fans come together and send Capcom several tons of peanuts or umbrellas to their corporate headquarters, maybe they’ll see their way clear to an occidental release.
