The latest new character in Killer Instinct Season 2 is none other than fan favorite Riptor, the cybernetically enhanced raptor. Riptor seems to be an aggressive character with many special means of movement, including leaps and pounces. She also has command of fire breath, a short range but powerful projectile that can knock enemies back. Riptor has very good normals, making use of her extendable tail and powerful jaws to strike at awkward distances that keep the opponent on his toes. She also appears to have doubles that cause her to leap into the air, making her push her opponent into a corner.
Riptor has also been described as easy to play. Though her moves from the original Killer Instinct have come back intact, she has no complex motions outside of a quarter circle. Not only that, but her combo chains are very simple, allowing the player to mash on single buttons in order to get simple combos out. This makes comboing with her even more simple than Saberwulf, who has some of the most simple combos in the game.
Riptor is slated to be added into the game tomorrow, along with the release of Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition.
