Rockstar Responds To L.A. Noire Overheating Issues

None

Many users of the PlayStation 3 version of L.A. Noire have been reporting some strange behavior from both the game and their console. From lockups to freezes and even overheating, L.A. Noire doesn’t seem to like to play nice with PS3s. Although Rockstar denied the issue at first, they have now acknowledged that some people may have encountered issues with the game, and have offered some help for those who are suffering from the issue.

According to a statement made on Rockstar’s official site, if you are having problems with L.A. Noire on the PS3, you should delete your game data and make a new offline account to play the game with. You can also sign out of PSN or disconnect from the Internet while playing. The post also recommends moving your console to a better-ventilated area and checking your disc for damage. We’re guessing those last two are just common sense, and it might be the online component that’s really causing the problem.
