RUMOR: EA’s Newest Dead Space Projects?

RUMOR: EA’s Newest Dead Space Projects?

None

A whole bunch of rumors are coming out of EA today. Kotaku has recently posted a ton of info from an anonymous “insider” that details everything EA has been doing in the past few months. Mostly, it seems, they have been doing Dead Space spinoffs.

First up, there is Dead Space 3. We heard a few months ago that Dead Space 3 was in the works, but according to this insider, the game was almost cancelled. Not to worry, though, because it is still going strong, and now EA is looking for a way to expand the franchise. Ideas that are coming out of the woodwork: a Dead Space multiplayer first-person shooter, a Dead Space flight combat simulator, and a Dead Space adventure game which is supposedly much like “Uncharted in space.”

Kotaku also reinforced previous rumors we heard about Dead Space 3, including the fact that it will take place on an almost entirely white ice planet. The game will also feature co-op play and will be the last Dead Space game to star Isaac Clarke.

Now, none of this has been officially confirmed yet, so take it with a grain of salt. Frankly, though, I think a Dead Space multiplayer shooter would be pretty great.
