RUMOR: Willem Dafoe Co-Starring In Beyond?

RUMOR: Willem Dafoe Co-Starring In Beyond?

None

Beyond: Two Souls, the brand new game from Heavy Rain creator Quantic Dream, is enlisting some pretty well-known star talent to help tell its story.

We already knew that Ellen Page is going to be a part of the production, but a source close to GamesIndustry.Biz is saying that Willem Dafoe will also be joining the cast. Dafoe, of course, is well known for his other video game role as Norman Osborne in last generation’s Spider-Man games. Okay, so maybe he isn’t that well-known in the video game sphere.

Still, it gets me pretty hyped to see Dafoe possibly joining the cast. Quantic Dream is certainly pushing the envelope in terms of acting for Beyond: Two Souls, and that’s a good thing. Unlike the cast of Heavy Rain, every actor that has joined the cast so far can speak in a convincing Jersey accent. That alone shows how far we have come from Quantic Dream’s previous awkward sounding release.

Details about Dafoe’s role haven’t officially been confirmed yet, but news is supposedly forthcoming. So keep your eyes open in the next few days to see if there’s any truth to these rumors, and, more importantly, who Dafoe will play in Beyond’s fifteen-year-long narrative if they are true.
